End of covid-19 pandemic emergency
In connection with the end of the pandemic emergency, which was decided by the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, all existing extraordinary measures of the Ministry of Health will be canceled from May 5.
As of this date, the obligation to wear respiratory protection also ends in medical facilities (incl. Pharmacies) and social services facilities.
At the same time, the right to one preventive PCR test per month expires free of charge. It is still possible to undergo only a diagnostic PCR test free of charge, if the doctor assesses your state of health and issues you a request. Anyone can be tested as a self-payer.
Organization of study
All teaching takes place fully in the distance mode until further notice - via LMS Moodle and MS Teams.
In exceptional situations, it is possible to perform examinations in the presence of a maximum of 10 people. However, it is not yet possible to implement practical teaching or practice at the CZU in the form of full-time.
The entry of students into CZU buildings must be arranged in advance with the relevant CZU employee (examiner, supervisor, head of department, etc.). Deans are advised to allow entry using student cards (ISIC). Furthermore, it is possible to implement individual consultations and individual visits to the library in order to receive or submit study literature.
The method and form of the verification of study results (credits and exams) in the examination period, i.e. after 19th December 2020, shall be specified by an order of the Dean / Director.
In study subjects where it is not possible to implement some part of the distance learning, such teaching shall be provided in blocks and will take place during the examination period or during the summer semester, depending on the anti-epidemic measures.
Teaching and the further course of study are governed by generally binding legal regulations, especially emergency and protective measures of the Ministry of Health. Due to the current epidemiological situation, however, standard contact teaching cannot be provided.
The LMS Moodle and MS Teams platforms are primarily used for distance learning. User manuals have been created for these platforms, and there is adequate support provided by DICT and CAVS. If the widespread presence of students is not prohibited, but a significant part of students (or teachers) shall still not be able to participate in teaching (e.g. due to the ordered quarantine, inability to arrive in the Czech Republic or due to the restriction of a maximum number of persons present together in class), a so-called hybrid form of teaching shall be implemented. The hybrid form of teaching means that direct contact teaching is combined with the transmission of teaching online (or at the same time with its recording) and with the use of other effective e-learning methods.
Hybrid teaching
For hybrid teaching, it is possible to use the Microsoft Teams tool, which is available under the CZU employee or student license. The Teams platform offers the possibility of communication, data sharing and cooperation both between teachers and students at CZU and beyond. Microsoft Teams can be used on end devices running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or mobile devices running Android or iOS.
