With regard to the Resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic and Rector´s Decision all teaching takes place remotely - via LMS Moodle and MS Teams - till the end of the semester, i.e. 18th December 2020.
In study subjects where it is not possible to implement some part of the distance learning, this teaching will be provided in blocks and will take place depending on the anti-epidemic measures in the examination period or during the summer semester.
The Czech University of Life Sciences provides protective measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection following generally binding legal regulations, in particular the emergency and protective measures of the Ministry of Health. To protect against the introduction of COVID-19 caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, CZU issued this questionnaire in accordance with the valid Rector's Decision.
In connection with the current situation, the Czech University of Life Sciences carefully monitors the development of the situation and is in intensive contact with the contracted medical facility MEDLIN - MUDr. Pavel Lindovský and the Regional Hygiene Station. CZU regularly monitors the information channels of national institutions and other public health authorities and is ready to take further measures to prevent the spread of the disease in the event of increased risk. In this context, CZU fully complies with the legislation and currently established regulations and is awaiting relevant decisions of superior bodies (decisions of the Government Council, the Ministry of Health, and the Regional Hygiene Station).
Wearing of face masks is mandatory as of 18 September (full text of the Extraordinary Measure):

Our priority is a quick and effective solution to the problems that have arisen. That's why it's important to properly target your queries:
Dear students of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences
Here you will find the most important information about the upcoming academic year 2020/2021:
All courses at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTA) from September 29, 2020, to October 30, 2020, will be organized as distance teaching (online lecturing).
The organization of the academic year in FTA is governed by the Valid Rector's Decisions (see below)
The online teaching will take place according to the announced time table (Teaching Time Schedule) of each course.
It is mandatory to wear masks in all indoor areas of FTA.
Students are obliged to report a positive result of the RT-PCR test for SARS COV-2, immediately through the CZU questionnaire. Furthermore, students will notify the FTA Study Administration Office via email ( firstname.lastname@example.org ).
Persons with symptoms of respiratory diseases are prohibited from entering the faculty building.
Due to the current epidemiological situation the graduation ceremony, which was announced for October 9, 2020, will be canceled.
With regard to the Resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic, which for university studies and participants in lifelong learning courses prohibits the personal presence of students in classes and examinations if more than 10 persons participate in the examination at one time, till the end of the semester (i.e. till 18th December 2020) all teaching takes place remotely – via LMS Moodle and MS Teams.
Furthermore, it is possible to implement practical teaching and practice, which takes place with external entities, individual consultations and individual visits to the library in order to receive or submit study literature
The method and form of the verification of study results (credits and exams) in the examination period, i.e. after 19th December 2020, shall be specified by an order of the Dean / Director.
In study subjects where it is not possible to implement some part of the distance learning, such teaching shall be provided in blocks and will take place during the examination period or during the summer semester, depending on the anti-epidemic measures.
Teaching in the winter semester and the further course of study are governed by generally binding legal regulations, especially emergency and protective measures of the Ministry of Health. Due to the current epidemiological situation, however, standard contact teaching cannot be provided.
The LMS Moodle and MS Teams platforms are primarily used for distance learning. User manuals have been created for these platforms, and there is adequate support provided by DICT and CAVS. If the widespread presence of students is not prohibited, but a significant part of students (or teachers) shall still not be able to participate in teaching (e.g. due to the ordered quarantine, inability to arrive in the Czech Republic or due to the restriction of a maximum number of persons present together in class), a so-called hybrid form of teaching shall be implemented. The hybrid form of teaching means that direct contact teaching is combined with the transmission of teaching online (or at the same time with its recording) and with the use of other effective e-learning methods.
To reduce the risk of disease transmission, respect and observe the currently valid emergency and protective measures of the bodies of the Ministry of Health and other public health authorities. The description of disease prevention and transmission can be found here.
If you have been ordered home quarantine, you should stay at home / in dormitories and you should not go anywhere (not even for shopping or to the doctor). In case of health problems, it is necessary to contact a doctor or the appropriate hygiene station or contact 112, stating that you are in the ordered quarantine. If you can, use a supplier service for purchasing, if you do not have such an option, it is possible to leave home for the necessary time.

Information on the test result will be given to you by your doctor or RHS, please wait. With a higher workload of laboratories or testing centres, the communication of the result may take longer, even several days. If you are in a home quarantine at the same time, continue to follow its rules.
If you have significant health problems (shortness of breath/difficulty breathing without cough, fever over 38 degrees, dry cough), call 155, and follow the operator's instructions.
(MH CZ, 2020, https://koronavirus.mzcr.cz/faq/)
First of all, it is necessary to evaluate whether it was a risky contact! To do this, find out if you have been in contact with a person living in the same household as the Covid-19 patient, whether there has been physical contact (such as shaking hands) with the Covid-19 patient or unprotected direct contact with the Covid-19 patient's infectious secretions. It could also be personal contact, a stay in a closed environment (room, vehicle, waiting room) with a person with Covid-19 at a distance of less than 2 meters and for more than 15 minutes, or with a medical or social worker providing care for a patient with Covid-19 and so on.
If so, contact your general practitioner by phone and follow the quarantine.
(MH CZ, 2020, https://koronavirus.mzcr.cz/en/ )
If you experience the first symptoms of Covid-19 (i.e. cough, fever, sore throat, headache, chills, loss of smell, etc.), you need to be examined to rule out or confirm this disease. Report this fact immediately to your healthcare provider by telephone or other remote access, outside office hours to medical emergency service, and follow their instructions. Information about the testing process can be found here.
If you are unable to attend classes due to a positive RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS COV-2 or due to quarantine or isolation regulations, report it immediately to the study administration office (in case of a foreigner to the international relations office) of the relevant faculty and submit a document confirming the reason for your absence. For other reasons for your absence, consult the teacher of the given subjects.
Stay at home / in the dormitories in isolation. Contact your general practitioner by phone and follow his or her instructions. Above all, keep calm. Inform acquaintances with whom you have come in contact in the last few days about your condition.
If you have returned from abroad, first check that the country you have visited is on the list of countries or parts of countries with a low risk of Covid-19 issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.. If so, please assess whether you have been in this or these countries for more than 12 hours in the last 14 days. If so, according to an emergency measure of the Ministry of Health, you are obliged to:
It is necessary to follow the order of the Ministry of Health in all common spaces of buildings of CZU Prague.
Details are available in Czech at the Ministry of Health website.
For hybrid teaching, it is possible to use the Microsoft Teams tool, which is available under the CZU employee or student license. The Teams platform offers the possibility of communication, data sharing and cooperation both between teachers and students at CZU and beyond. Microsoft Teams can be used on end devices running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or mobile devices running Android or iOS.
